I was there only as the assistant photographer but that was exactly what I wanted in order to experience it first hand without the stress of knowing that the couple are relying on my shots. The wedding and reception was at Wentworth Golf Club and as you can imagine the setting was excellent, if a little pricey!

Even though I was #2 I still managed to c*ck things up in that I forgot to reset my ISO rating a couple of times and other minor things, but lessons learnt and all that.

I'll try to give some constructive comments.

#1-3 Really like the way you have captured the lighting in the 1st three shots, plus good use of DOF on some.
#4 you need to watch the background.... some large plant sticking out her head. Time for some cloning
#5 Like the use of Mono, plus DOF. Although pose could be better, not easy when being done candid. But definetely catches the mood
#6 Unusual this one. Great informal shot, but at same time makes couple look a bit distant to each other
#7 See you have the classic soft focus sorted. Just need to watch background again. Large trunk is distracting
#8 Where's that Golf Club going !!!!
#9 Excellent capture !! Best shot of the lot for me
#10 The classic upset child Like it

I don't envy anyone who takes Wedding photos...... there's a real art to it. So fair play to you sir & may your future ones be even more successful

Some great shots there, I usually take an assistant along to get more of the candid shots etc, it is a good way to learn about weddings and many of my ex assistants have gone on to do weddings full time.

Some good ones here - and useful ideas.

Got my first wedding in a month's time - my brother! Chickened out of being the main 'tog and got a mate (who's good!) to do the main work. I assist with another friend who's assisting me! Should survive!
