Re: Doggyercise (4 images)
You could always get some hair dye and lighten him up a bit! If you are in exprimenting mode, try using centre weighted or spot metering on him. That will give a better exposure and bring out more detail.
Another thing to try is to take an exposure reading from him and set it in manual mode on the camera so the exposure will not change. Provided you keep the light in roughly the same orientation as when you took the reading, you should end up with reasonable results. Don't forget, in action shots, a bit of blur can sometimes be beneficial, as it adds some dynamics to the image.

Re: Doggyercise (4 images)
Hehe - I love #3.
You could always do what I did with a friend's lab. Get him to sit still ... and use flash!! I was really amazed at how well this shot of Kelly came out!! ![]() Exposing for her coat meant the dead lawn was overexposed, but they didn't want a shot of the grass!! |

Re: Doggyercise (4 images)
Ah - therein the difference  This dog, and their other black lab do gun trials, and when they are "working" they will do amazing things! However, when they're playing they're as psycho as your boy!!
