100-400, just seen your other thread. I must try to get to some motor sports with mine. Have you ever tried a 1.4x converter on it? I've been deliberating about one for that little extra reach.

good shots there- #4 is definately a keeper! as a keen motorcycle fan were the shots taken from a spectators view or trackside?

Thanks for the comments guys

Stephen - I did try the 1.4x at the weekend but the extra reach wasn't really enough to make up for the increase in noise caused by using a higher ISO to keep the shutter speed reasonable. More cropping rather than more noise reduction produced better images. It would have been a different story in really good light but there wasn't a lot of that at the weekend.

Dave - That shot was taken from the wrong side of a chainlink fence near the foggy esses, the fence was much nearer to me than to the circuit so I was able to use a wide aperture to blur it out. These have been cropped a fair bit as you just can't get near enough to the cicuit without a press pass.
