dont mess with electric trickery!

Found these from my jollies last July, Lake Garda. These were only taken with my fuji 610, balancing on my knee, set to night mode and continuous shooting, so apologies as they are a bit ropey. Do any of you have any shots like this, using slightly better equipment and techniques

Excellent! Have seen a few techniques on capturing lightning but don't get many storms down my way...or if we do it's boring sheet lightning and most likely during daylight hours

quite the opposite round here, we only get fork lightning , never sheet lightning

must be the terrain......

did u know.........lightning goes up into the positivly charged clouds from the negative earth

Thanks for the comments.

I was out on the balcony of the hotel taking these for ages the storm lasted about 6 hrs, I'd never seen anything like it before. Scary.

Because I was out there for so long, my battery started to go, so I plugged the camera into the mains and carried on, looking back though, this perhaps was not a good idea.
