Re: Dunnottar Castle Sunrise

What a great set of photos the colours are amazing!!!!

Only small thing I'd change and it is a very small thing... The horizon cuts through the silhouette of the castle walls, which is a slight shame. But then what do I know????

Great shots, like them a lot...

MAtt

PS do they have many ostriches in Scotland??

Re: Dunnottar Castle Sunrise

Great set!

I also think the horizon should have been a bit lower, to get more of the buildings against the sky, although #2&3 are taken from the same place, and I suspect so was #1 too, so you were obviously on higher ground. I don't know if you could have got to a lower viewpoint, but I think it might have been better. You certainly would not have had time to move to a different position once you started, the light changes so quickly.

You ought to be pleased with these shots - I would be.

I love the shot of the Ostrich - absolutely spot on

That Ostrich[?] shot is a stunner for me,a knockout .A minor point, and it may be my monitor, but I would love to be able to see a weeeeeeee bit of detail in the the castle and foreground.Just a tad,the merest hint, would do.The skies and water are indeed gorgeous. It must have been a very satisfying experience being there and what a way to start a day [I am assuming its sunrise]

Re: Dunnottar Castle Sunrise

2nd pic works best for me. The lighting colour is stronger and we can see a full scene with the water and rocks as well. I am not keen on the ones where the horizon line cuts through the tops of the castle ramparts and things as it is distracting without having extra context.

Last picture is fun but has nothing to do with this set. You can post as many as you want on this Sharing thread so maybe that one would be more suited to its own thread. But it's good fun and well taken

Cheers,
Rob

Re: Dunnottar Castle Sunrise

There is too much detail lost in the shadows.

(Just kidding)

Great work and idea. I agree with the horizon issue.
