Durdle Door

Hi folks,

Well its been awhile since i've contributed anything to the forums, so here's a few from a recent trip to Durdle Door on the Dorset coast.

If i was to be a bit self critical of them i'd say they lack a bit of foreground interest in some of them, but i love the colours of the sky that the sunset gave me that evening and thats what i was trying to capture. I struggling with my monitor set-up at the moment as they look lighter, less contrasted and less saturated in some programs than in others so any input on that would be helpful, or it could be my eyesights on the wane!!

Anyway C & C welcome

Cheers
Stuart

Re: Durdle Door

TBH I really like them - the simplicity and unsaturated colours make such a great change from the moody chocolate box shots you usually get of Durdle Door!

Lack of FG and 50:50 split working really well - great rulebreaker! Many thanks, Stuart!

Hi Stu - I think Mark summed it up perfectly although I do think they are worth having straight horizons

Nice shots, very tranqil, and not horribly overprocessed like said. Looks like a nice place...

Re: Durdle Door

Cheers folks for your comments, i was really lucky the evening i went there as the sunset was very impressive so hopefully i've conveyed a little of what it was like.

Oh and Stepheno I think i need to lay off the red wine when i process my shots i thought i'd straightened those horizons
