Duxford....
Looks like I am not meant to see a full airshow. Mrs decided to come with me and also decided she was cold after an hour or so. I could have stayed to the end and let her go back to the car and wait but sometimes you have to act on instinct
So I did not see the spitfires or anything in the last half hour. Plus side is I got home really easily with no car park queue. Never tried anything like this before (well I went to duxford but the show was cancelled last time). Took a few shots as the planes were on the ground to see how the propellors looked for blur - seems you need a pretty slow shutter speed. All tips and advice welcome. I'm the first to admit there was guesswork involved ![]() This one is the right way up.... And so is this one This seaplane was turning - liked the different blur of the 2 props. Also the novel wheel retraction into the side. Suppose if you are panning one way the other way will be a blur.... Helicoper display..not quite in focus Not a great shot (too much background stuff for a full view) but I liked the prop again.... These flew a complete loop like this. ![]() Wasn't there early enough to grab front row but had seated people in front of me then some pushed through to stand next to me and get in the way as I tried to pan. He also pushed forward on occaisions to use his disposable camera. But for the fact he was younger and bigger than me.....

Oh yes meant to say - It was a nice sunny afternoon but the air was hazy and the sun was in your eyes as you tried to watch. Could not even look at a lot of the display let alone photograph it as you were squinting into the sun!
I have tweaked the pictures a bit to reduce the hazed look. |

The *average* file size is below 160k but one image is 182k. Does it need changing for the rules?
