Eagle Owl
Was at a medieval joust yesterday and was heading back to the car when I spotted a falconry exhibition hidden away in the corner.
I've got some great pics to share over the next few days, starting with the Eagle Owl ![]() ![]() ![]()

1&2: 150mm f5 1/800 ISO400
3: 150mm f5 1/160 ISO400 4: 300mm f5.6 1/160 ISO400 A massive thanks to Arkady for his USM tutorial...this has made a major difference to the results I'm getting and certainly made the difference on these shots! It's now a permanent addition to my workflow. I'll get round to creating a PS Action. :thankyous PS: I'm reliably informed elsewhere it is an Eagle Owl, not a Barn Owl!!! The second shot is the winner from this bunch, all the others have the same quality feel but lose through having only one eye showing or not looking directly into the camera. Pic 2 has all the elements spot on and I would guess that most here would have been very happy to capture that themselves.
