Re: A few more pinhole photos for anyone interested.
I like all of them, though perhaps the last is least favourite. I love the first and third ones, great shots for a pinhole camera. Have you tried doing a contact print off the one with SCE written on it? It would be interesting as it would reverse into negative but the writing would be the right way round so would have a contra-indicator effect.
Good stuff, wtg Jaime |

Thanks all for the comments. Will do a contact print and post it here. Will put in the details of the camera too.

I think this type of stuff is great too, funnily enough i noticed there is a competition for this type of stuff in America (downside you have to pay to enter). They call Krappy Kamera, can be any camera really no matter how expensive, the important thing is you have an unusual lens ie. pinhole.
Heres the link Welcome to The Soho Photo Gallery entry info is down the left somewhere, may get useful ideas if nothing else from it. (i have not properly explored the site just noticed the comp.) |

Re: A few more pinhole photos for anyone interested.
'And in the blue corner.... the cameras that have tried to challenge for a major title many times but so far without really making their mark. But back tonight to give it another go.... It's Sigma!'
<Audience stunned into polite hand clap to save the poor thing total embarrassment> 'And in the red corner.... the cameras used by millions to win awards, earn a living and produce outstanding pictures, remaining undefeated for years and still holding the title 'Most popular camera and lens manufacturer on planet Earth..... It's Canon!' <ding, ding, round one> 'Well the Canon camera complete with L series lens approaches and snaps a sharp one right in front of the whole crowd.... the picture appears on the overhead screens and the audience go wild with delight.....' 'The Sigma ..... errr, .... where is the Sigma?..... Oh, ok!.... Ladies and gentleman we have a perhaps not surprising turn of events. The Sigma has thrown in the lens cloth. It took one look at the beautiful pictures taken by the Canon and decided it was being out-fought on every side....' . . . Sorry, couldn't resist a cheap dig at Sickma.... now let's wait to hear from the Nickelodeon fans rattling their sabres <g>

Baaaa :o)
Hay Mark, are you planning to upgrade to the SD14 any time soon? I'd be interested to read a user's review of it. I am not in the market for one, Canon man that I am, but I am genuinely interested to know if this Foveon chip is any improvement on the previous one or whether it is much the same. Not saying the other was bad, the colours are superb on it without a doubt. Also, do you think there is any reason why this series has never really caught the buyers imagination other than it not being a big camera brand name like the Canons and Nikons of this world? Interested to know but don't want to take over this thread of Jaime's so maybe on a different thread would be interested to hear your thoughts. Cheers, Rob |
