Re: A few more resent shots...

All good. #1 & 3 for me, #1 being my favourite. Great shot.
In my very humble opinion, (what do I know?!) on #3, if the rock had ben placed on the left third it would have been my favourite. Having spent several years in the Andrew, the power of the sea has always fascinated me and I would buy an image like that.

Re: A few more resent shots...

Nice set MW - I'm liking the monos.

Intereting dilemma re Ian's comments on the composition in #3 - if it were on the third, the spray on the LHS would have been lost, unless a wider angle was available. The central position of the rock has ensured that all of the spray has been captured - a bit like a firework exploding.

Yep, good point Graham, I can now see that would be an issue, but I can't help feeling that I want to see more of the ocean to the right. Like I said though I'm no authority and I'm nit picking for my personal preference, doesn't detract from it being a great shot though

Best of both worlds would probably be a different and wider angle - if that was available.

Re: A few more resent shots...

You're both wrong! A crop of the RHS to leave the rock towards the right would be the preferred option (I suspect you got it the wrong way around as it's the other side of the world and everything's back to front out there! )

A great selection here - probably my least favourite is the shot of your house, #5!

Yup point taken and I agree - but it was one of those shots I was not sure how big the spray was going to be.....so I left plenty of room!.....an still missed the top of it!

Cheers Graham - Yeah I was trying to give plenty of room as there were BIG waves coming in! but I still missed the top part of the spray anyway....she was a goodin!(the wave) I think a wider lens would have given a better field of view also-I know better next time!

........Truth be known - I have stayed in worse but no Mark this is not my house! it is a good old fashioned "Farm Shed/Hay Shed".......ahhhh the memory's from my younger days.....playing in Hay sheds.........admittedly this one has a distinct lack of Hay in it......an for that matter girls (sigh)
