Just been fiddling in Photoshop with this shot I took earlier on, and quite like the effect:


Taken out of my car window, parked by the side of the road on the way to Emley Moor mast if anyone's interested. 350D, Sigma 18-125mm, 1/1000sec, f5.0.

I'm finding the 350D a struggle at the moment. I seem to be having problems with focusing and exposure - almost starting to wonder whether the Sigma lens is at fault in some cases, but I have no other lens to test with. It certainly is a steep learning curve. I've only just found out that setting the focus to the centre spot, and using the centre weighted exposure seems to improve things. I'm still getting lots of soft or out of focus pictures however. I've also drawn up a list of things for Canon to fix in the firmware for me, such as showing the exposure details all the time in the viewfinder as opposed to just being activated when pressing the shutter button.

Frustrated, but enjoying it all the same
