Indeed. sharp and well exposed!
I think less is more personally, as far as fireworks go. It can get very messy very quickly. Good work! |

Great stuff and impressive for a first attempt - any details for the uninitiated (or camera-less ?) ?

10sec at F16. iso100. I was not sure what settings to use so I tried various but this was the best shot.
If I could give one bit of advice it would be to get there early and get a good spot. I didn’t and many shots were wasted by people walking in front of me. |

And might I add a very easily navigated site, well set out and with a great variety of postings already. If you don't mind me saying adding a title to each and brief details would clinch it for me ! Best wishes, |

I'll agree with the getting there early advice.
Every show I've been to (not been to many though), has always benefitted from me getting there earlier than expected, and pitching a 'spot'. Being 6'4 and built like a quite flaby brick **** house helps to spread myself out a bit too around my tripod, to guard against 'shovers'. I've only attempted fireworks once or twice, mainly at Burnley Balloon Festival this year. I'll process one or two shots in the next day or two and get them up. I always find though, the best ones are where it's not windy and they don't have that 'bend' to them....Chuffingly difficult to capture though unfortunately ![]() That said, OP here has done a great job of capturing some lovely fireworks ![]() |
