Re: First shot with D200
Nice light, brings out the yellow of the tower that looks great against the blue sky. Could perhaps do with slighly more of that sky above the tower but that's being picky.

Re: First shot with D200
Cracking shot, Dave. If they are all like that you've got a winner. Would be interested to see the shot without the Vignette?

Re: First shot with D200
Got everything here - impact, interest and intrigue. What is in that open door, and what is that frontage hiding?
I know you said you rushed it a bit, but when you stop licking the camera, I'd clone out the speck under the small square structure and the thing sticking up out of the grass near the LHS. Nice one And no, I'm not envious

Re: First shot with D200
Good shot, makes all that money seem worth it now doesn't it, imagine what it would've looked like if you'd shot it with the D2X!
I think the vignetting works with this one! |

Re: First shot with D200
Very nice, how do you think it compares to the D70.
About bleedin' time too.

Re: First shot with D200
Too soon to say Colin....might try & do some comparison shots side by sid with same lens, for a better appreciation. From the 1st set of shots though I would say the exposures were pretty spot on .... I unticked all auto settings in Camera RAW pgm & it looked good. With D70 I would have been adjusting something or another.
Will see when I run some proper tests Be good if you do same, if you still have your D70
