First shots with new sigma lens

well i decided to treat myself to a 75-300 apo dg macro lens and here is the first shots straight from camera, just a resize for the net, to say im pleased is an understatment. Its awsome

Thats pretty good- the lashes are so fine, but I have to say I think your subject has some dust on their eyeball

thanks folks for comments, feenster the lens was 178 from jessops, the canon equivelant was 10 quid cheaper but without the macro side of the lens.

nice shot there barry.

ive got one of those and if you get a nice sharp example like yours (and mine) they are a great value lens for the money. my only criticism is the slow af and poor performance in low light, but then the lens was under £200

No problem!

I found mine to be soft between 200-300 mm but fine at other ranges. What's yours like at those ranges?

Ive not had time or the weather to get out and check Sammy, but nice blue skies today so hopefully test it out fully and will let you know.
