Ohh I do love good macro shots!!
Wonderful captures there Steve, the second shot is really outstanding I'd love a full macro lens myself but those Kenko extension tubes are really doing the business, might have a look at them myself Thanks for sharing! |

The second and the tenth are excellent - like the rest also, but those two really stand out.
Were these all loose in your garden or did you go somewhere to capture these shots ? ![]() |

2, 8 and 11 are the best for me in those Steve;
2 - just perfect focus and composition 8 - so unusual, almost like stained glass. The body could stand a bit of lightening/brightening but picky ![]() 11 - is like an optical illusion. I thought the butterfly was facing away from the screen to start with. |

Flutter-byes ... one of my all time faves ! And wonderfully pictured Steve !
They have got to be one of the hardest to subjects photograph and you have captured them so well ! Very well executed generally ! Would dearly love to produce them so well ! Great to see them ... thanx ! |

Very good pics. No 2 is scary, although they all make me cringe (not your photography skills btw - I just have a phobia of these horrid things

2 and 11 are my faves, excellent DOF and great compositions. Minimeeze has a point though, no2's eyes give me the creeps, i'm not even slightly bothered by butterflys in general but that on looks like an axe murdering butterfly!

Wow..some excellent shots. Unfortunately for me, I will never have any pretty butterfly shots in my collection (unless I get a super dooper telephoto lens and can take them from a mile off...lol)
