Garbage Can on Sidewalk

I'm not sure why I snapped this picture, I wasn't sure what to do with it.
Does anyone know/remember those old Russian Lomography cameras? Notorius for having to much contrast and vignetting back in the 70's?
I never owned one, much to young to have had one, but I love the effect. I decided to play with the image and add the effect.
I like the effect on this picture because there is so much color. (high contrast!)

I'm enclosing the "lomo" style photo along with the stock so you can see the difference. Curious if ayone likes the style?

Think the lomo suits it well, makes for a moody shot

I agree, the lomo'd version is much stronger and the processing suits the shot

not a fan of lomo stuff in general as i think it only suits a certain style of image, however you have manged to nail it perfectly and it just soo brings this image to life! well spotted and well processed,

I am not familiar with this style but I do like the result.I certainly brings the image alive.
It jogged a memory in my head, it reminded me of the background graphics on some of the computer games my lads played many years ago.
Is it time for my medication ?? LOL

Re: Garbage Can on Sidewalk

I don't mind the style,"never seen it before", I think,,. As I look upon the image I see the darkened corners and that the lightly warmer slant makes me look for something that is really sharp. I mean stand out sharp,,like maybe the caution sign on the dumpster. The rest can stay the way it is,,interesting wicks,,,thanks for sharing.
