Re: Gis a light?
Excellent captures, not sure you actually needed quite that level of ISO but it has worked fine. Have you run these through Noise Ninja or similar? There is very little noise here for such a high ISO.
Great timing, well done ![]() Cheers, Rob |

Re: Gis a light?
Love these shots, they're great!!!!
Must give this a go... I love taking stuff from round the house and making interesting photos from it!!!! I would love to know hpw many of this set ended up on the cutting room floor !!! When I do this sort of stuff where timing is of the essence far more ends up in the recycle bin than any where else!!! Thanks for the inspiration!!! Matt |

Re: Gis a light?
For those of you that would like to know the setup for this
Take one small (ish) lump of blu-tak. One pencil that has never been sharpened. One small clamp, or a very small elastic band. A box of matches. One night light candle. An old mug. Black card for the background. Stick the pencil into the blu-tak and clamp a match to it. Use an old mug and put that under the match. With the unlit night light try to get this about an inch and something below the match head, you may find you need something else to lift the night light higher. Idealy your looking for about an inch and three quarters distance between night light and match head. Setup your camera on your tripod and focus on the match head. Now for the fun bit!! Light the night light then place it under the match head and holding your cable release at the sametime set your camera going on continuos shooting and with any luck you should get a few good shots. I'll post a setup shot tonight. Have fun and please becareful... How many shots got deleted erm loads, to get these two I think I deleted some thing like 30 or 40 shots. |
