God help the boys!
![]() Mischief-maker in chief. Grace by name but not by nature! ![]() Her elder sister - I would love to know what she was thinking . . .Mischief in the making by the look of it. Young Grace followed this by a tongue out - also captured! Friend's grandchildren - told today that her children had one of my family groups from a shoot in the summer enlarged on canvas and framed for her Christmas present |

Re: God help the boys!
Well mischief makers or not, they both have stunning eyes, especially the elder sister.
Grace has a slight green colourcast to her hair, not uncommon with blonde hair and lots of BG foliage. They're both gonna break some hearts a few years hence. Cheers, Rob |

Re: God help the boys!
The looks are wonderful. You have captured personalities perfectly.
The second would have been a better picture if you had gotten down to eye level to take it, though. skip |

I agree with everyone else, the pictures are fantastic. The angle of Grace is particularly good; combined with her expression it almost looks as if she popped unexpectantly out of nowhere.

Re: God help the boys!
Yup, I agree with Skip, another foot down to get to the same level would have really made an impact with those lovely clear eyes. I still like the shot though

Re: God help the boys!
Thanks guys - children photography is my first love but always wary of posting on the web without permission which i had in this case. The first was at a family shoot and the second a grab shot in our village library with little room to move - saw the pose and couldn't resist.
Still working my way through 150 Christmas shots when grandchildren here. In surgery I saw far more children than most and can usually put little ones at ease - ended up for my last four years in practice working n the community seeing mainly special needs and kids no one else would treat - most rewarding time of my working life!

Re: God help the boys!
i absolutely adore the 2nd one........... the first one doesnt do it for me. there is something about the expression on the wee girls face that just doesnt make me go aww thats lovely............ I do not however me she isnt cos she has the most wonderful eyes...... but the second one blows me awya its beautiful, i would like to see a slightly lower angle and a tighter crop.... but as is its a wonderful image and one her parents must be exceptionally proud of.

I would not dream of putting a photo of individuals on here without their verbal consent but that is being polite, not conforming to the law ![]() I personally feel it is encumbent upon all of us who love photography that we behave ethically and with due concern for others in all that we do. One lousy photographer overstepping the mark can ruin things for a hundred photographers further on who then get the cold shoulder when asking if they can take someone's picture because they previously had a bad experience. However, I do not believe in pandering to the whims of the PC brigade either. hence i am more than happy to take a photo of my son playing football without concern for the fact that some kid on the other side of the pitch happens to get into the BG of the shot. Common courtesy works hand in hand with common sense in my opinion ![]() Cheers, Rob
