Goldfinch "Sketched"
![]() Goldfinch We have a charity Art and Craft exhibition in our village next weekend and I was asked if I could take a stall "to help dress the show". I have decided to do a series based on my garden views over to Ely Cathedral and my bird visitors along with some of the dramatic dawns and sunsets we get in the fens - all from my garden or the village. I thought I would head it "Painting with Pixels" and have before and after pictures, the after printed on heavy watercolour paper from an artists sketch pad.

Re: Goldfinch "Sketched"
I think this looks smashing
I love the effect, the colours of the goldfinch with a really effective surround. Good luck with the exhibition

That's beautifully done Fang, absolutely superb and any twitchers at the fair will be after any you have like that!
Great stuff, Rob |

Re: Goldfinch "Sketched"
I like it. Is this the picture you printed out on the heavy watercolor paper? I have done some printing on watercolor paper for other projects. I love working with it.

Re: Goldfinch "Sketched"
Nice one Fangman, I think printing this out on watercolour paper as you intend to do will really give it the perfect finish

Re: Goldfinch "Sketched"
Thanks folks - have done a series of garden birds as well as views of Ely Cathedral from my garden on watercolour and cartridge paper. The Epson 1290 set on "heavy matt" seems to do the trick.
