Re: Have I cracked it
I'd say they look like very polished performances!

First one for me....can't quite make my mind up about the second one though.

Re: Have I cracked it
You've cracked it!
(But nothing that a spot of superglue won't fix.) ![]() First one looks fine - warm tone but that's not a criticism. Second one the colours are a little odd to my eyes - a blue/cyan cast - not serious though. ![]() |

Re: Have I cracked it
Not too keen on #1, the colours don't seem quite right and I'd prefer the lighthouse tower off-centre.
I really like #2 though, it has a kind of ethereal quality and depth of colour that makes HDR worth doing. cheers Dan |

Re: Have I cracked it
The actual hdr processing looks ok to me, except for the blown highlights in #2 ... the object of hdr is to retain detail in both highlights + shadows.
#1 oddly has my eyes swimming when I look at the FG on the LHS, as if the layers weren't merged properly, but that's the only area that has that effect, the rest of the image is nicely blended. #2 I like the composition, but the colours of the sky + water are too much alike, making the top half of the image a bit bland. |
