Hazy Daze
A couple from the weekend in Mid Wales.
Did go across to the Breidden (the 3 landscapes) but only got to the top of Middletown Hill before having to dash back. So only pics I managed to get: Moel y Golfa ![]() Was always going to be B/W as, shooting sunwards, all the colour was leeched out already Rodney's Pillar ![]() Processed this a fair bit - wanted to highlight the Pillar and the patches of light (there's also a paraglider flying off the Breidden but you won't see it at this size!) Looking North ![]() Mother and Lamb ![]() Any comments - good, bad or indifferent always welcomed! ![]()

Re: Hazy Daze
I love all the colour ones here as those colours are really gorgeous. I can't say I go a bundle on the mono one though it isn't bad, just don't think it has gained a lot from losing the colour. I love the rustic colours in the 2nd one, beautiful stuff

Re: Hazy Daze
Love the first 3 and I think the B&W one - I don't think the rays would have been as noticeable in colour - B&W tends to make one concentrate on detail/texture a lot more IMO. Compositons of all 3 are great, no 3 winning it for me.
The mother and lamb doesn't do it - not sure why - something's missing but I can't put my finger on it. Matt. |

Re: Hazy Daze
Many thanks for the comments! Appreciated!
![]() I think it may need to grow a little more before hitting our plates, Karen! The colour really was all leached out, Rob (hazy day and into the sun!) and, as Matt says, mono brought out the sunbeams - tho I grant you, not the greatest image (a little dark maybe) Know what you mean, Matt! Think I needed to be further to the right (and lower) to 'connect' them better (for starters!) but when I moved, so did the lamb! So, had to settle for this comp |
