I'm still trying to get myself a decent bird

Armed with the 70-200 + 1.4 converter I still didn't nail one

.....the little fellas just won't play fair and the squirrel just took the mick.

Me thinks longer lens required

I found 300mm just, but only just, enough reach - my previous, 200mm, had me out of range! But you got 'em nice and sharp @ 280mm

Forgot to mention these are slightly cropped.......300mm with the 1.4 would be nice.

Monkey nuts are now on my wants list

They look good, I especially like the squirrel

Whenever I've tried bird shots, they just fly off laughing

Yeah me too....even a squirrel would be nice. Think a longer lens is needed! Still nice sharp shots and nice processing too!

#3 is pretty good, nice catchlight and at least the bird is not obscured.
