Re: Husky racing

Some gorgeous dogs there, is this a regular event ?

It reminds me of my brothers Husky, unfortunately he escaped from the kitchen window and got shot by a farmer. He always was a nutty dog...

The racings regular Ian but I think they only use this location once a year. Don't really know much about it, it's the first time I've been.

Re: Husky racing

Why couldn't that bloke have got out of the shot? The one with the wonderful look of delight on the child's face would have been an absolute winner without that guy in it. Sadly impossible to clone him out but the child's face is superb and really captures the thrill of winning.

I love the shots of the dogs, just a shame that what they pull is so ugly. I guess we are so used to seeing more traditional shots of huskies pulling sleds so pulling frames on wheels doesn't have the same impact or atmosphere. But that isn't your fault, you can only take what is there and you've done it really well. The first side profile of the husky's face is superb.

Excellent work on your part Dod, you've got a great little set there

Cheers,
Rob

Know exactly what you mean but it's the girls dad so it still works. Mum was delighted with her print anyway

Re: Husky racing

I know someone who went on holiday to some exotic, remote, cold and snowy place. One of the 'highlights' was to go on a sleigh ride - the real deal - large sled and many, many huskies.

They had a really good time, except for one thing. During the fairly long sleigh ride, the dogs were farting continuously, and at the end of the trip they actually suggested to the people running the ride that gas masks were provided!

Needless to say, it took the dairy off the romantic meal at the halfway point.

Re: Husky racing

Up until this point I had not considered the sigma a contender in my kit bag!
Time to think again!
