Inquisitive horse = snot covered lens.
A couple of seconds after I took this picture the big git snorted and sprayed my lens and camera with a lovely mixture of snot and mucus.

I've had the same happen a couple of times... even better is when they've just eaten and decide to wipe it all over the lens!

I guess that's one of the risks you run when trying to get unusual and interesting angles
The old saying comes to mind....never work with animal or children  If it's any consolation I do like the shot

I have the same problem with my dogs - try to take a shot of them and they run straight towards me and stick their noses on the lens!
