And you were right!

What it also proves is the difficulty of making comparisons between different items of equipment unless all the shooting and processing parameters are exactly the same. "Lens A looks *much* better than lens B."

It's the in camera JPEG settings, sharpening, saturation etc. Vivid does what it says on the tin, but I imagine it is also made so that you don't have to do much PP. Neutral is described as a setting where you intend to manipulate it afterwards
