I can see the idea you have tried to achieve here Gary, though not sure it is effective as it could be. I'd like the flower heads, especially the closest ones, to be really sharp as they look a bit soft ehre. The BG sky has, for the most part, a yellow tone to it which means it doesn't provide the strong complementary background that it would if it were a strong azure blue or at least a graduated blue.

Good idea and on another day I think you'll get the shot that has more wow factor :o)

I took a few others but liked this one because of its subtle coloration. Seems like my idea does not match the thinking of others but that is what makes this fun.

I was impressed with this photo... the colors aren't sharp ... and it doesn't stand out like it could, but I love the way the flowers seem to climb into the sky (not sure how else to describe it ) This photo would be great with some color adjustments, but the basic photo itself is wonderful

im likging the last photo much more. i think it has the contrast that Rob was talking about more than the first one, and the light is hitting the flower heads more. a lovely shot gary
