I've had a photo published again!

Sorry for the poor quality of this but it's a scanned image of a magazine that wanted to use one of my photos on the front cover!

It's just a little local directory, mainly full of advertising, with some local interest articles. I wasn't paid for this but did get credited, which is all I asked for. I'm hoping to be able to do more for the lady that publishes it as it is good practice for me and it gets my stuff seen.....even though I'm not planning on making a career out of photography, it's still nice to be recognised!

Now your mission - should you choose to accept it - is to get paid in some way the next time you get published.

This doesn't necessarily mean cold hard cash.. though that is a good way to start

You can barter your services for advertising space, either for yourself (if you photograph for a living) or a relative/friend whom could use it.

The bottom line is all publications have a budget of some sort and revenue streams, usually from paid advertising. If your photo is good enough to grace the cover of a publication, then it's worth at least a decent sized advert in return.

I'd still prefer the cash, but that's me
