Re: Jimmy Carrs Piano
Yes I can see them, but I still feel its far too dark to get any mood etc from it.

Re: Jimmy Carrs Piano
thanks for your comments, to be honest i like this look for this piece, William Eugene Smith used to have the same comments, but like me he felt it worked for where his work was heading, and i can tell you i dont mind following that man.lol

Re: Jimmy Carrs Piano
Hmmm....interesting. I was looking at this earlier and I totally agreed with the "too dark" comments. I run dual screens on my main PC here and earlier I had it on the 'primary' screen since re-opening Firefox I have moved it to the second screen. Now the image is much lighter and I really like it.
Just shows how much of an impact the monitor makes. I'm starting to think I have mine the wrong way around! |

Re: Jimmy Carrs Piano
Well could have the monitor argument all night but Ive tried it on 3 well calibrated monitors and still feel its too dark so that'll have to just be my opinion lol

Re: Jimmy Carrs Piano
hey theres nothing wrong with that, your opinion is right to you, if we all had the same opinion then ART would simply not exsist, i gotta admit i wasnt too sure about it at first, because it was very dark, but although this is no where near a finished piece, i think this is the direction i need to go, we exibit in jan 09

Re: Jimmy Carrs Piano
Dark and moody works for me. Interesting the difference in peoples perceptions. Perhaps if I calibrated my screen I would not like it either.
![]() I see the piano of course but faint detail in the theatre, which to my mind is al the performer would see. Good one |
