Re: KIck boxing

Looks like a good friend to have, particularly if you shoot a lot at night in rough neighborhoods! The style suits the subject matter well. at least to me who has never set foot in a boxing gym...

Re: KIck boxing

Good action shot, but noticed on the Level histogram there was tons of space to the right. Pulled the rightslider in to get broader range of tones.

Re: KIck boxing

Re 50mm, although opening up to a max of f/1.8 will give plenty more light, you'll need to be wary of the incredible shallow DOF at these levels. Fine if the subject/s are on the same focal plane & you are pin sharp with focusing, but otherwise it could make life harder.

Saying that you could get some pretty decent isolation of subject if done right

Re: KIck boxing

Finally a last one using Noiseware Pro, to show others how it's possible to claw back ISO1600 shots ............. even though this subject looks good with the noise

Suggest next stop down from f/1.8 anyway ... lenses rarely perform best at the very max or min apertures
