Kyles area mono
I 'found' this on my computer as a small 300kb file.It's a scan from a Sensia100 slide.A typical gray,overcast,slightly misty afternoon near Kyles.I played around with a couple of new [to me!!] adjustment techniques and it still looked a bit flat in colour.So converted to mono and did a bit of gentle dodging/burning and am pleased with the outcome.Trouble is,I now fancy trying to replicate this as a full size image to make a print but cannot locate the slide
 .I have it somewhere,just not in the 'sleeve' where "Skye Holiday" slides are.I must be the most disorganised snapper in the world.My computer is also littered with 'odd' images with no clue as to why/what/where .Anyway,I will find the slide as this one is growing on me:

I don't know about there being 'a good picture to come from it', I think this is already a good picture...very good in fact! I love the clarity of the boat but the peace and solitude of the scene that just makes you feel really relaxed. Find the original, make it big and get it printed Water, it's lovely

The bottom LH corner needs sorting, but that is all. A lovely image. |

I stand corrected.
 . I was actually thinking that the bottom right corner needed fixing but I do agree it is a very good picture now. |

water - almost perfect. i would like to see it with a little bit more space for mast at the top. it's tight now. but otherwise it's excelent photo - very atmospheric. and personally i don't mind that bottom right corner.
