If only I weren't shooting into the sun for this one.

Story: High school lacrosse game in Michigan. De La Salle vs Orchard Lake St. Mary's varsity teams. DLS ended up winning 12-3. OLSM obviously was not having a very good game. One of their players took a run at a group of players, and it suddenly cleared out of all DLS players. He was going too fast to stop himself, thus creating the moment above.

I wish it didn't have the extreme UV-haze feel to it.

Auto Levels did most of the work (and removed slight red cast). Burned back shadows a little more, dodged some player highlights (but not really needed!), cloned out the shadow/player bottom right

Auto Levels seemed to make the shot look a bit TOO red for the jerseys. I like it more than the hazy version, but something still not right. It'll take some tinkering to get it how I like it. I'll try to post a shot taken looking away from the sun when I get back to my normal pc to show what their jerseys looked like. I definitely like what you did with cloning out the shadow/errant stick.

I just wish I'd gotten the shots just before and just after this occurred. I just managed to get this one, when someone jumped up right in front of the lens because of the hit. All of the other shots in the series are of the back of some dude's head.

Ahh! Saturation does seem a little high in the shot, Chris - how about reducing and that might reduce the reds to more realistic hue (or just reduce the red saturation)
