Last night

I went to the museum on base. It's a very small builing, about the size of a trailer. It was also after hours, but as the place was unlocked, and I thought yesterday was Monday, I enjoyed it all to myself. However, I'm only posting 2 shots from inside. One that I think is decent, and the other.. well.. I don't know what happened, and I hope someone may be able to help me figure it out.

What happened with this? It looks almost like the camera tried to take 3 pics at once. It wasn't my first taken after going inside, and it wasn't the last either, but it's the only one that came out this way. Also, looking at the bottom edge, on the dark side of it, that looks like ceiling molding:

Look, there I am in the bottom right. Counts as a self portrait, no?

Bridges. I like bridges.

And finally, something for all you mono fans.

Re: Last night

Liking them last 2, especially the desolate looking bridge

At a guess I'd say that the processing or saving of the image was interrupted on that one shot - if you send me the camera I'll give you the benefit of a proper diagnosis

What is your obsession with me sending you my cameras?

Re: Last night

I think I need to go back with the 15mm. 24 was too long for the size of that place.

I haven't the foggiest, but when I go back on Thursday, I'll make an attempt to find out for you. I'm also going to try getting the sled behind it, and the tree. The sun still aproaches the horizon, so it gets a small bit lighter around noon, so that should help fight the floodlights.

Re: Last night

Nice shots, I like the "self-portrait" one. Is that a military helmet or a warm hat?

Re: Last night

Couldn't find out what the sign was for, nobody there to ask when I went back.

J- That's just a hood, I moved a bit after hitting the shutter button, realised that my shadow was probably in the frame (15mm fisheye), and then tried to stand perfectly still for the rest of the exposure. Wasn't easy to do w/ a 30+ kt wind.

Re: Last night

Love the idea of a museum all the way up there. Interesting pics. I have a friend who spent much of her childhood on Greenland, but way further South where it thaws out from time to time
