Re: Lock

i like the idea of this image however i think the image is fairly flat and there isnt enough definitino in it...... dont think it would help being in colour but how about in mono and up the contrast?

Re: Lock

I find it a bit busy, I'm not sure if it's light shining on it creating the light and dark areas or perhaps the graffitti but, either way there's an aeful lot going on in the shot and it's difficult to focus on the lock itself. Maybe a different angle would have helped?

Re: Lock

I actually really like this. It is a little flat and busy as said, but I think that it is a very good photo for staring at for ages and finding new things. Not a 'photographer' photo, more like an 'art' photo!
I think the seipa toning also works well, but could benefit from a little more contrast.

Re: Lock

I agree with Jack, I like it although a boost of contrast would really help

Did a quick pimp hope you dont mind....

adjusted levels, curves added a bit of noise to a new layer overlayed and small crop

what do you think???

Re: Lock

I like this image as well, a little more contrast wouldn't go amiss but overall a big thumbs up

Re: Lock

Hi Gary,,
I like the image the way it is, carries that southwestern flavor for sure. Keep up the good work, the spray paint job on this works well for me,,and the tone keeps the rustic look of a well traveled cantainer without the hoopalla from the hootin gallery. Realistic,,
