Macaques

This mother and baby shot was grabbed from the car at Longleat. Of course I'd have loved mum to look at me as well but I got the baby's attention which I think helps the viewer to connect with the picture.

Hope you like it but as usual, say whatever you like and feel free to pimp if you want to. I shall not be in the slightest offended if you come up with something better.... I will just have to kill you <g> Just kidding, go ahead

Wink Re: Macaques

Nope! Not that bad! But when all's said and done a fairly bog standard shot of some fluffies! Surely?

So, I offer up this as a slightly different take

Crop closer to concentrate on the stronger subject: the young 'un. Bit of dodge to bring out a touch more detail, correct the slight yellow cast, sharpen. Kill me now! All I ask is that you make it quick!

LOL, gonna make this a very slow painful death

I'll grant you the colour cast, I posted the old version I had instead of my corrected one, my mistake. The crop is a matter of taste, I prefer to give a bit of space to my subjects but I can see why you would go in closer. Sharpness no, you've gone way too much IMO, has made it look very grainy and too contrasty.

Well, maybe it's my monitor <g> You maybe right, dunno, see what others think. The prob is, mine has already been sharpened so when you sharpen something twice you usually start getting artefacts creeping in.

Thanks for your efforts there Mark, good of you to take the time.

Cheers,
Rob
