Got back this morning and I've put some of the best up on the site here:

I'll talk about it tomorrow as I've not had any sleep for 48 hours and I just got news that I'm off to Afghanistan on Wednesday.
Too much admin and laundry needs doing before I can sit here and discuss things properly.
And I need to Tax the car before I get pulled by Plod.

It was so hot in that aircraft that the cool air from the air-con condensed instantly. I was literally dripping sweat off me onto the cameras. Clothes were soaked through as if I'd stood in a shower.

Hot, really hot and bloody humid too.

The NV shots are taken with an NV attachment that fits between the camera body and lens. Costs between £7 and £10k I seem to remember.

Look closer - you can see the sunburn - they looked like Hiroshima victims up close.
I've been to Africa a few times, but this was the worst I've known for sunburn. Two guys were hospitalised.
We all had factor 35 on - the stuff that looks like zinc ointment and doesn't rub in - we all looked like Data from Star Trek.
20 minute burn time, regardless.
