My 8 year old son.....like any kid he's never still. This was shot indoors with the 70-200 @ F2.8 with fill flash bounced, the first day I got the lens and flash. Processed again for the hi-key (ish) look but not sure if i'm getting this close, so your comments and thoughts are appreciated.

However, aesthetically speaking, it's a little clinical for my taste in child portraits

I love this KenCo. Only tiny point is I'd like another centimentre under the chin, it's a bit too tightly cropped there.

I love the technical merit of the shot, you've got lovely tone, clear eyes, fine hair detail and no burnt out areas (a common problem when people go high key). I also like the fact you were brave enough to not go for eye contact, it works nicely here and gives a bit more thought to the image.

Well done Ken...only suggestion for this specific shot is to dodge back the darkness of hair at top of forehead, as it keeps pulling my up ....but other than that, top job

Great shot technically, lighting, focus etc but I feel the crop is just a little to tight at both the top and bottom. Daves comment about burning the hairline is also a good point that might be worth giving a go should you care to reprocess.

Fantastic focus on the eyes though and he looks like he's going to grow up to be a handsome chappy

Thanks all appreciate the feedback. This is a crop but I doubt there is anything to play with top or bottom of frame.....I have a look though. Never noticed the dark part in the hair Dave, i'll try and sort that out sometime.
