Mist and sunlight

This one was late last year. We were up early to get a good start on one of our hiking days. The early morning mist was thick and as we began the assent were treated to this scene.

Re: Mist and sunlight

Is this one of those polar bear in a snowstorm shots? I've been fooled by these before you know, it wasn't a polar bear at all, twas an arctic fox.

Not a perfect conversion on small shot, but you get the drift

I am sorry Dave but conversion really does nothing for me at all. Its lost all the atmosphere and the delicacy of the early morning light. I feel this shot really has to be colour.

Wonderful capture Steve. Well seen and well executed. I would agree - the color really adds to the shot.

Re: Mist and sunlight

Dave, get some therapy man

Love the original, the muted colours really give it some atmosphere, really nicely done Steve.

One of these days I'm gonna take one of Dave's monos and convert it to colour <gggg>

Cheers,
Rob

Re: Mist and sunlight

Very good shot indeed Steve, and I actually really like the mono, but not more than the colour. They both do very different things for me
What a great scene to come across!
