More information if possible?
Dear all,
Many of the pictures I view in this section are simply stunning and ones that I could only dream of taking. As a newbie to DSLR I'm fascinated as to the setup process involved in taking these shots and try to learn as much as possible. Is there a section on the site that offers more info regarding the shot such as: Exposure settings Focusing method (continuous AF etc..) Photo editing used etc.. Many thanks, Ian |

Re: More information if possible?
Only if uploaded to Gallery with EXIF info, Ian............... or you ask (which would be the best way if it's not there!). I kind of always mean to post that stuff but am guilty of not doing so!

Re: More information if possible?
As Mark said......plus sometimes if the exif is left in when resizing for web you can right-click the image and look at the properties. Otherwise if you see a shot you want to know more about, in the Forums, just ask. It would be a parsimonious git who wouldn't tell you

Re: More information if possible?
That's a good point JAG has made and one I am guilty of as much as the next man. My gear is all listed so that is not a problem but I rarely bother to mention aperture or shutter speed or even the lens I was using so I'll try and remember to that for shots where the info might be useful.
Like most others, I have nothing to hide by keeping info to myself, I'd far rather share it and if that benefits others then great. I have benefited hugely from reading the info others have supplied over the years. This game is non-competitive: if we truly love this art form, we should seek to help each other with it as much as possible. Thanks for the reminder JAG :o) Cheers, Rob
