Sorry Boofers - only one image per thread in the Critique forum, so I've moved it to the the sharing forum.
As far as your question is concerned, i like them both, but Personally I like noise to add grittyness to an image, and I don't think a flower is a grtiity subject. Having said that, I guess I've nailed my colours to the less noise mast. |

Look at the pictures as black and white, the question could be, do B+W pictures tend to look better with more noise, or less
I would like to get an idea about the whole noise or film noise amont in Mono processing.

To me the background started to look dirty with a high film grain look, bad habit of color macro maybe. Maybe the trick on blur is the kind of noise applied, or film grain blending so it dosen't look dirty on the blur. any ideas on where to start,,,I would think very soft grain?
