Re: More Macros
Don't be too surprised if shots like these don't come immediately you get your macro lens Aidey. These are exceptionally good shots and Markulous is extremely good at them. There are a couple of people on here whose macro shots I dream of getting close to, like Mark and Marcin (sounds like a double act in a circus LOL). I have the superb Canon 100mm f2.8 macro but am not even close to getting the type of shots these two get. I really need to get out with it and play more LOL
Superb work Mark. Cheers, Rob

Re: More Macros
Many thanks for all your comments! Much appreciated!
![]() I find that macro is something you just need to practice....... and practice. Not necessarily easy for me, coming from the position of "If I can't get this subject's shot in the next 30 seconds it's just not photogenic" ![]() I never use flash, AH, as I prefer to utilise the natural light to form part of the comp. Flash is OK to get the classic closeup poses but I like to try and use the light in the scene rather than just to light the subject. Having said that, I'm toying with the idea of using light a little more creatively and employing a couple of flashes - with the approaching dark nights, flash is going to be more of a requirement. I've never used flash creatively, only to light up a subject, so should be fun!
