Re: Moto X

Yup, the quality is poor but that isn't down to you. The capture is absolutely perfect timing so well done. I have had a little play to try and bring out the bike and rider a bit more, hope you don't mind.

See what you think:

Cheers,
Rob

Re: Moto X

Got to say that Rob's pimp makes it look as if the bike and rider have been superimposed, where the original is more believable. Maybe halfway between the original and Rob's version?

Re: Moto X

I went for a stronger look because it gives the effect of the bike and rider being caught in the lights and standing out from the surroundings that way. I looked at it a bit less intrusive but because of the strength of the light rays it didn't look right. There is so little contrast in the original that it was hard to get the bike to the stage where it really stood out. I could have done it by making a proper selection of the bike, putting it on it's own layer and working on that but I didn't have the time to do all that. I just went for curves adjustments to get the bike out of the muddy background. In turn this accentuated the heavy graininess of the whole image so I made a second layer, blurred it, reduced opacity so it didn't look too strong and then brought the bike back through from the ower layer using a soft eraser.

Oh well, I guess the strength of the bike and rider is about taste really but I'll leave as is and let people choose their own level

Cheers,
Rob
