Hehe nice one. I'm not a cat fan mainly coz I'm alergic to them. Sis in law has just gone out to get a new kitten. Think shes got to wait 3 weeks now. Once she gets it and I get back from holiday I'll try get some cute kitten snaps. if my watering eyes let me look through viewfinder

Just don't stroke the cat and then rub your eyes, there lies a whole world of pain.

You have my sympathy ! I am allergic to them too ! but i am a cat fan ! LOL guess am a glutten for punishment !

Is a nice picture, unfortunately the most important part (as i keep getting told this lol), the eyes, is out of focus, is a very very narrow depth of field !

Certainly a beautiful cat though !

Sammy. Draw a roughly oval freehand mask around BOTH eyes, roughly the shape of swimming goggles. Apply about 12 pixels feathering to the mask so you don't get a hard edge afterwards. Sharpen till the cat's right eye looks sharp. The left eye wont look sharp but it'll be sharpened to the same amount as the other eye so will still look naturally oof, and will be accepatable as the shot is on an angle.

Actually Ian this simple technique - a feathered mask, can be used for so much besides sharpening. You can adjust contrast levels separately within the mask, colour sat, etc etc, even apply numerous effects filters. In fact I'm sure Sammy wont mind people playing with his cat a while and just experimenting with this, it's really good stuff.

Here's Tiddles sharpened.

Needy? I only see mine about three times a day, once in the morning when they get up for their breakfast, when I get home from work they get up to say hello and lastly when they get up for their tea before they go to bed.

Are you getting a theme here? lol

Ok maybe I should have explained myself. I feel like cats only come around when they "need" something from you, otherwise their flat on their back somewhere sleeping their life away. Don't seem to offer much of anything in return like a dog would. Just my opinion

Well cats don't have owners, they have staff.

Well Winstone Churchill once said

"I like pigs. Dogs look up to us, cat's look down on us. But pigs treat us as equals"

tis a great photo

cats have staff..never a truer word! i have 3, and my purpose in their lives is to feed them, open the door if they feel like a stroll out and stroke them when they feel like it....
