#2 and #6 seem soft, the nettles shot might be too, bit hard to tell..

I'd agree with that and with what Ian said about the heron shots. I think they would have been better done with rule of thirds. Heron on the left, nice wide open river on the right. Oddly I also find they're a bit too saturated. I know I know Coming from me how can I say that. Maybe I don't notice it as much when I do it, maybe they are just too saturated? I can't say really which it is, but I can say that these seem to be.
