Niagra Falls - Part I
I was fortunate enough to visit Niagra Falls last Saturday, somewhere I've always to go to. An amazing place and the power of the water is very mesmerising, it has got a draw to it which is difficult to describe.
I was fortunate enough to have a sunny day, apparently when it is overcast you can't see the mist/spray so well. As we got close to where the mist was it felt like a fine rain or drizzle and after a few minutes I went to take a picture and found my camera covered in lumps of ice - the falling mist was turning to ice due to the temperature, my coat was also covered in lumps of ice. Here is the first picture taken on the approach.....

Re: Niagra Falls - Part I
A very colourful shot, Colin. I know you were trying to show the mist but I think I would have preferred to see the falls from the other side. Is that Part 2?

Re: Niagra Falls - Part I
Nice shot of a rainbow ... Ok I'll wait for Part II
![]() Your description of the spray reminds me of the 'Rain Forest' at Victoria Falls, near where I lived. Although the spray doesn't turn to ice, you do get soaked walking through it. Awesome sight, I only wish I was into photography back then when I lived there
