Norfolk seascapes

I've just got back from a few days in Norfolk and thought I'd try my hand at some longer exposure shots on the beach. All taken with my new D200

and Nikon 18-70mm lens with a couple of ND filters and a graduated ND. There is a bit of noise evident, I presume because of the long exposures (NR was on) but I'm quite pleased with the results.

This was the first time I'd shot seascapes and what surprised me was how the light could change so radically within short time spans giving a wide variety of shots.

All very nice shots hacker, The only thing I would say if I may be so bold, is on the last shot I would have made the sky just a wee bit darker to maybe add to the mood, But hey, thats only my humble opinion,
Other than that, all cracking shots mate. Your photography has come on in leaps and bounds since I first saw your work on the forums. I have noticed a marked improvement in a very short time, Well done fella, keep it up. Sorry if that sounds like a school report,

...I personally like the last shot best, I'd be interested to see the altered image if you try Gary's advice with it... All very nice shot's though Colin, looks like you had a productive trip with the new D200! TFS

The first shot is my favourite

I think the simplicity and the "cleanliness" of it make it so striking.

The last modified shot is excellent - being a regular visiter to that stretch of coast this captures it well. Never tire of the sky - sea and marshes with the changing light in all seasons.
