Not a great picture but a first for me !
One of my favourite birds of prey, in the wild ! Is a lousy pic but i like it !
 Oh its a Peregrine Falcon for those that dont know ! Was as close as i could get, the cliffs were all cordoned off  only time the 100-400 has let me down ! lol Matt can i borrow ya 800 ?  LOL Actually i got 2 ! lol

Well not the greatest shots Ian, but it's just great to see 'em anyway. We had a couple of breeding pairs of peregrines on a shoot up in the Welsh hills. To see them stoop - fold their wings and drop a couple of hundred feet like a stone and then hit a pigeon in flight with outstretched claws so hard they often decapited them, is an awesome sight. :icon_cool

I couldnt believe it when i saw them ! Heard the noise first ! There were some RSPB guys in a hut, and i had to go and ask if i had really seen what i thought i had seen ! Couldnt believe it ! They had just fledged apparently, breeding pair with 2 chicks if i remember correctly ! |
