O no not again....
Sorry folks but had another trip out to Lincoln Cathedral so most of the regulars will have seen these so look away
![]() Decided to play around with these.....3 handheld shots HDR'd and uncorrected vertical perspectives ![]() ![]() The HDR made the colours very vibrant with the sunlight coming through the stained glass windows: ![]() Hot air balloon ride for this shot: ![]() Got up above the ceiling to have a look at the old timbers holding the place up: ![]() Finally the Chapter House where 'The Da Vinci Code' filming took place......there are still props in here namely canvas paintings from the set which I'm told are to be placed on ebay to raise funs for the Cathedral.![]() TFL Ian. |

Re: O no not again....
These are all excellent shots and (with the exception of the last one) do not look over processed or unnatural at all. Th colours and detail really make these stand out, I love them
![]() IMO the last one is perhaps a little to light in some areas and because of that doesn't fit as well into this 'collection'. It does take on a pastel drawing like appearance though which is pleasing in a totally different way I never get bored of shots like these

Cheers fellas
You might be seeing more as I plan to go again late November to try catch it with no sunlight coming through the windows.

Re: O no not again....
Stunning shots and great colours (sorry, Dave
). The timber roof pic is particularly fascinating because it's not something you normally see.

Re: O no not again....
Super shots P-E
Bit of a blue cast in all of them on my screen, but perhaps this is intentional or perhaps it's just my screen Still, lovely shots, + well done handheld! And nicely processed to boot

Re: O no not again....
Good practice and good pictures, I like anything in hdr that looks like it might take on a pastel color,,,just me. Have tried harder lately to make more natural looking hdr effect but haven't posted. Your colors are looking very good P-E, you've certainly refined your technique. I'll post one I was working on last night for those who didn't want to see your good work.

Re: O no not again....
Thanks again
Not sure about a blue cast Charlotte (maybe in last one )......trouble is with my colour blind eyes you don't notice until another colour is put against it ![]() It could be the WB.........I used a custom WB in Photomatix. |
