Oban Bay Sunset

Just back from a 'flying visit' to Oban area.Weather was actually too nice.Blue skies with nary a cloud during the day time [never happy eh?!!

].Got a bit of a sun tan though

.Took this Monday night around 9pm:

Lovely light/sky and nice extra detail with the figures - I'd have preferred less central sun and 50:50 rocks (especially with all that black) but really minor niggles

One of these photos that never lives up to actually being there at rhe time

.I'm happy with it though and you are right mr cat.Out of frame to the right the prom is full of Hotels and Guest Houses and the flashes from the residents' compacts was like a Paparazzi scrum !!.

I'll try to 'process' some shots I took at Easdale and Ellenabeich [Seil] and post tomorrow to give you a glimpse of this fascinating,and charming,wee place.If you can fit it in I would strongly reccomend a visit.Google for info on Easdale.Heres a link to a couple of 'quickies' I stuck on flickr:

Cheers water - We were actually there last year and went to Seil and Easdale Island - climbed the 'mountain' too!

This year it's Appin.

We're staying in a cottage at Kinlochlaich House, if you know it (I don't!). The website doesn't mention solid-fuel heating.
