Re: Once Upon a Life
That's better, I can see it a lot better now
The most immediate problem with this image, Danny, is that it's not in focus. That will be your first priority when taking any photograph. If you have a tripod, use it! If you don't have one, you need to get one. Flowers are tricky at the best of times, and you really do need to think about how to get the shot in sharp focus. Here are some considerations:
I like the composition As one of our fellow members says, practice makes better, Danny, so keep at it + let's see some more soon HTH

Re: Once Upon a Life
Charlotte is right, although contrary to her point, not at any point have I ever used a tripod for my flowers....but yes not moving is an important point

Re: Once Upon a Life
Well Jack, just think how much sharper your flower images would be if you used a tripod
![]() Ok, honestly, I haven't used a tripod in all of mine either, but hey, I'm trying to give sensible advice here, so back me up here Jack ![]() And BTW, you forgot to critique Danny's image, so get back here and make a meaningful contribution to this thread

Re: Once Upon a Life
Why Thank you Charlotte and Jack. I know the pic is not every good...the reason is I was in a farmers hayfield and I guess he didn't like me being there so he got a cop and since when they started to come after me I thought I would give them a run for there money....haha And I did....out ran both
but hey I'm 15. Anyhow wile doing that I sa the flower and ccouldn't pass it up. I think all try to retake it to night....it was getting late when I took this shot, the shutter speed was I think 1/60 and the aperture 2.6.
