Creative Nature Photography - Orton Imagery
a great easy bit of reading and whats especially good about this is that it gives instructions for film photographers as well as digital. Fi |

Re: The Orton Technique
Hello Fionab,
You have two great pictures both well exposed and nicely saturated with attractive colours. In both cases I prefer the "befores." I will read the link now. OK Iv'e read the link now. I didn't read it before commenting because I didn't want it to influence my thoughts about your pictures. The technique is interesting and I can see its value for some pictures, specially for wall hanging when the pure photograph is a bit stark sometimes. I still like your befores best; they are great. Re: The Orton Technique
This thread has got me going now. I thought I would try the Orton Technique on a portrait and I think it is an improvement. I wonder what others think. Thank you Fiona. Being new to this site I haven't figured out how to add images to a thread so I will put them in my gallery.
Sorry the gallery will not accept them either. The two pictures are jpegs each less than 100 kb, height 7 inches, length about 10 in. Would someone kindly assist me. Thank you, John. Last edited by John F; 29-04-2007 at 18:23. |

Re: The Orton Technique
Thank you Sonsey and PM. It will be a little while before I get back _ I haven't given up on it.
John Well I finally got in with these pictures. I had to process them manually. The first one is a straight picture, the second one has had Orton processing applied. ![]()
